The allergy check is the menu's job, not the waiter's memory.
The guest sets their allergies once. From there, any dish containing allergens shows a general warning icon, and dishes that exactly match their selected allergy get a red alert mask that's impossible to miss. No dish is ever hidden — so a parent can still see options for the rest of the table even if their child can't eat them.
- Warning icon on dishes containing allergens
- A specific red mask on dishes matching the selected allergy
- Dishes are never hidden, only flagged
